Im officially redundant!!!!

Yes, its happened! Woolworths has closed down and Im out of a job! As of yesterday, Im so gutted its not finally sunk in yet, I had to sign on today and it felt surreal, such fab times we've had, although the job itself did my head in, I wanted to leave when I was ready not be pushed out.

Our last day was mega tho, a spot of work in the morning, nice lunch from the local restaurant, then silly childish games, British Bulldog, and Duck Duck Goose!! Ha ha I will miss my workmates loads, we were a proper little family :(

Back to my youth!

80's sensations!
Anyone who grew up in the 80's (I was actually born in the 60's) will remember most of these fab acts I saw Saturday 19th July at Blickling Hall in Norfolk, Howard Jones, Kim Wilde, Nik Kershaw, Paul Young, Dr and the Medics (see pic), China Crisis, Heaven 17, Rick Astley.....!! And they are still fab, and can still sing! Cant imagine Justin Timberlake, Eminem or Green Day still performing in 20 years time??
As the country is waiting for the inevitable recession, we are cost cutting like crazy in our house, so no summer hols away for us this year! groan :( on the plus side tho it looks like hubby has finally seeing sense and could be selling the gas guzzler!! Yay!... I mean, whats the point of a 6 litre American Camaro if you can only manage to take it out on the odd weekend your off work? And no sooner have you left the drive, your in the garage filling it with petrol again... another £60 please!! So unhappily (but he'll get over it) for him, hes decided to advertise it, and cos I eagerly agreed, with no hesitation, he said we would have to sell mine too and get something cheaper!! Agh! I love my Focus, and its false economy buying a cheaper car isnt it??.. hmmm will have to work on that one!
Seriously tho, with food prices and fuel prices going through the roof, and our fixed rate mortgage finishing in November Im not sure how we're all going to manage, its all very worrying!

Future? What of it?

Today I went for an interview for another job, Im fed up with my job, its boring, basically, and low paid, and too hot, and they are the only reasons..... so, finally I get an interview at a holiday camp at Bacton!! As a receptionist/shop assistant/typist/holiday booker extrordinaire, cleaner, child minder, organiser, poster publisher, telephonist.... you get it? And all for £6 an hour!!!!

Dont think so, and Im soooo disappointed I had high hopes, oh and the other downside is you have to work all day Saturday, great for the marriage, perhaps I'll just get divorced now, then?
Am off on a girls night tomorrow night, and am looking forward to it, its Shelleys hen party and most of the gals from work are going so should be a right larf!!
Why cant I get sodding pics to go at the end of my blog rather than the beginning? have looked and looked and Im bolloxed if I can see how to do it!

Im a little sad today, one of my sisters best friends Joy, just collapsed and died suddenly today, only aged 49, Joy had two boys 15 and 6 and everyones hearts goes out to them. Why these things happen to nice people God only knows, if there is a God. 2 tragedies in 7 months is hard to take in, and I feel the same today as I did back in September when Chris and Nathan died, 2 young and lovely lads who we all loved, and who died speeding in a car doing what young lads do, taking risks and thinking they are invincible...... still miss them terribly.

My little Jack is now 'balls free' bless him, a rather expensive exercise, but worth it if it stops him trying to shag all and sundry, including small boys!! (jacks the dog btw!!)

Am hacked off at work, just for a change, sigh, I must actively try looking for another job, perhaps I'll get head-hunted for a fantastically, high paid, low hours, easy-peasy, stress free job.... ha ha.

Bank holiday weekend this weekend Yay! Of course it will tip down with rain in true bank hol fashion, so I'll try not to plan anything and then it might be a good omen? Im ever the optimist!

Gosh Im Posh!

My first attempt at blogging! Wow! now I feel I've arrived in the 21st century, still as a kid I always kept a diary, and dont suppose this is much different to that really?..... except my diary was very private and I would've killed myself if anyone had so much as even read the front cover, and a blog is, well a blog is far from private, not when the whole world can read it, if they're sad enough that is!

Today (Sun) has been a nice typical family day, no work, just play ha ha, went to Norwich this morning... love Norwich on a Sunday, something quite serene about it, no endless crowds, or yobs congregating around the nearest Maccy D's, cant be doing with it on a Saturday, too many people! Had to get Callum some new trainers £50!!!!! bloody hell!! Dont pay that much for my shoes, but he paid £30 towards it so couldnt grumble really, me and Kev had a wander on our own for a bit whilst Cal and mate Josh went and got some lunch, (we're dieting so didnt partake)!

Came home, cleaned up (groan) cooked roast Lamb, and then on a whim, Olly pestered us to go out with him and his mates to Yarmouth, for a 'cruise' as they call it.... It really involves, groups of chav like boy racers in their pimped up mean machines doing a 'tonne' down Yarmouth seafront and skidding round the top near the pleasure beach, then proceeding to do the same thing all over again, with an audience of chav type creatures 'whooping' and 'awwwwing' with glee! By the time they've done 'their thing' for around 150 laps they come home... oh forgot to mention those watching the proceedings stand outside of their mean machines and freeze their extremities off, watching said chavs... ! So like twits, we took him up on it!! I know Sad buggers arent we, we dont get out much see, we lasted all of an hour and cos I needed a wee and a cuppa tea we came home, we've got no staying power!

Tomorrow Ive got the unenviable job of taking the dog to the vets to have his wotsits off!... (hence the picture!)
